I want to hide or disable the home button that comes on top of the browser throught shell script. Is there any config for it to be set in preferences like browser.*show.home.button.* true

I tried to explore on google and in this forum but could not find right key if it is there. Please let me know if it is possible to hide the button. Else if we can some how disable it

I have pasted the top part of the firefox window as attachment here for reference.

I have never used it. You should be able to right-click it and select Remove from toolbar. If not, open the Customise palette and drag it there.

In newer profiles, Firefox does not add the Home button to the toolbar, so you shouldn't need a centralized method to remove it.

There is a ShowHomeButton policy that when set to false should remove the Home button

Thank you ! This one helped because I am bound to use older version of firefox some more time because of dependency of other apps before planning, testing and integration.

I dont have root permission at run time so I will not be able to add and delete from firefox/distribution/policies.json file. Is there any way that I can use this policy only for one app/page that launches html page and not for the whole system because I am not expected to make system wide changes currently ?
