I had Thunderbird installed on my old computer which died. Its hard drive is fine so I can connect it to my new computer via USB. I would like to install Thunderbird on my new computer recovering the Thunderbird data from my old hard drive. I would like to include profiles, old email, and settings.

How can I do this?

I will assume a WIndows computer, since you didn't say. The old profile is at <root>users\<yourID>\appdata\roaming\thunderbird copy that to your USB. Then install thunderbird on new PC . Close Thunderbird, and copy to the exact same place (although userid may be different). If you can do that, when you restart thunderbird, everything will be in place.

Close Thunderbird, and copy to the exact same place (although userid may be different). If you can do that, when you restart thunderbird, everything will be in place.
