FF loses previous sessions very often after an update. Lost a week of work today. Updates pending turn FF into molasses.

These problems have been going on for five years now. A forced update I did not accept turns ff into molasses, freezes -pages slowing sys. So have to restart, and when reopening and expecting my previous sesh, I get a session from a week ago. Cannot find the JSON file and it is unclear how to get it to load even if I found it. I have done it a few times but very difficult.

Have you looked here for the JSON file?

If there is no backup of JSON file then there's nothing much more that can be done to fix the data loss. This is why one should make a bookmark so they can go back and start where they last ended.
