to open the Bookmarks sidebar. Right-click the Bookmarks Menu folder and select Sort by Name.

Thanks to you both. However, the suggestions didn't work (including one of the links is down).

Pls allow me to give more specific info.

In the Bookmarks" sidebar and in "Organize Bookmarks" they are set in alphabetical order by using "sort by name".

However, quick access via the drop down "Bookmarks" tab from the "View Menu" is where I have the problem.

The first column is fine (correctly in alphabetical order) but sub folders are random. Every time I add a new one it simply goes to the bottom.

Hope this helps to point me in the correct direction.

If you want Bookmarks and Bookmark Folders to be automatically sorted, have a look at the SortPlaces add-on:

I managed to get the link/page that I couldn't open before (addon/9275) to work a little while ago.

It immediately solved my problem.

Many thanks.
