Whenever I want to open a new tab, babylon search is by default my homepage just for the tab. It is a unknown website to me and I can seem to find a way to remove it . I uninstalled the tool bar that came with it but the website remains even after I restart the computer.

Go to Add-ons - move to extension and then remove babylon. I hate them too.

The Babylon default was more than nagging. I am grateful for this post - in brackets - which solved it in a flesh. (((xtrem726: Go to Add-ons - move to extension and then remove babylon. I hate them too.))). Bless you loads.

I too had this problem and despite the various suggestions could not completely delete this wretched 'virus' ! However I found by removing babylon and then the add-ons and then removing firefox completely (I did save my bookmarks first). Then ran a clean-up of all deleted files. I then reloaded firefox from scratch and imported my bookmarks. Not only have I completely removed babylon, my firefox is running faster or at least it loads faster, probably because all the old add-ons and toolbars have been removed. Well worth the effort for me at least.
