When I try to add sync on my PC it asks for a key and even it's provided with the correct key from a different device it tells me it's incorrect. Is this a bug?
I had everything working. This PC contains the first step of the sync project I planned to use with two more PC's. After initial setup it works fint.
Then I decided to fix a problem I had with Firefox and Citrix and an old article told me to try and make a new profile - so I did. While it didn't solve my Citrix problem I did loose my Firefox Sync so I wanted to add it again.
At first is asks for a device which already has Sync setup. I don't have that so I clicked on "I don't have the device" then it says I need the Sync key and explains how I get from a device I don't have (really weird to do so). So I gave up.
At work I got my Sync key and saved the html file to my DropBox. When I came home and it asked for my Sync key I simply copy/pasted the key and it says the keys is incorrect.
Thought I love the idea of the build-in sync function, Xmarks makes this a whole lot easier. I hope and wish you continue to improve this already great software.
Thanks for the help :)

Hi!
Make sure that you follow the steps you can find in this article: Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more
Your sync key should have the following format: x-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
Avoid spaces or any additional character. Finally, make sure that in your work computer you are using the same username and passwords as the one at home, just to make sure that the Sync key corresponds to this account.

It appears it was account related.
I entered my e-mail instead of my account name and it worked. Even though the username/password section didn't complain about anything being incorrect as it does if the password is not correct.
Maybe I just have two accounts and only one that uses sync.
