Sometimes when I click on a site firefox turns off completely. Only happens occasionally but today, twice, when I entered my password and username Firefox turned off. I reopened, tried again by entering username and password and when I hit 'submit' it turned off again.

Hi Vivek.Wilfred, I don't really think any of your suggestions are applicable to me. First of all the problem only happens occasionally, maybe once a week, if that, so it would be hard to determine if the 'problem still occurs'. Also, I do not have any 'add-ons' whatsoever, I do not have any 'extensions' or 'themes' and I do not have any toolbars, other than the one coming with firefox. I've gone through each of your suggestions but, as mentioned above, none seem to apply to my situation. I appreciate you help but if you can think of anything else that may cause this [occasional] problem, please let me know. I would like information regarding another "annoyance" with firefox. It always has a 'wallpaper' in the background behind my home page, about an inch on the left and right hand side of the screen. I have to zoom in, control/mouse wheel, to cover the wallpaper but then I am required to move my slider left and right to see my whole screen. When I click on the wallpaper a full screen opens up showing the wallpaper but I have no idea how to remove it. AND, it is not always the same wallpaper every time. I am attaching a screenshot of the annoying pest.

Appreciate any help with this, if you can, Thanks, yep.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
