How can I fix Mozilla's failure to access all Google sites except "Search," over which there is a thin red bar?
I can access all Google sites but get a message that there is no connection when I click on Google "Search." There is a thin red bar over "Search," which suggests that it is inaccessible. I don't know how to diagnose or fix this. Am using Mozilla 14.0.1.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the Clear now button.
Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

What if you just bookmark the Google search page? Does that work?
If the above comments don't help, could you post a screen shot showing the red line? You can save it as a PNG or JPEG using Paint, and then attach it to a reply. Please censor out any personal information, e.g., Gmail stuff, etc.
Yes, thanks--very helpful.
