Is there any plan to put this functionality into Android Firefox in the future? It already makes sense on my PC Firefox and could benefit to the user experience so much with the touch support on the mobile since we lost the ability to pinpoint anything on screen using mouse.

With websites having touch events available to them implementing a gesture based UI is difficult.

For example lets say you were visiting a mapping site and it used gestures to allow you to navigate it. How does the browser tell between the user panning right to left on the map site or the gesture for the browser back action. These sorts of conflicts make gesture actions difficult to implement.
