Why does scrolling on sites no longer work with FF? I've tried all of the solutions i've found on FF site and others.
When I reboot my computer scrolling on sites with my laptop (gateway nv59) seems to work for a short time then stops (it used to be fine). I've tried the about:config ui.trackpoint.hackenabled change from -1 to 0 and 1 but it doesn't work. I don't enjoy surfing without being able to scroll. Please help to resolve this for me.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here or it's an issue with hardware acceleration...

I always run in safe mode ... scrolling doesn't work either way
How are you scrolling?
Is this with the mouse of with a touch pad?
Can you drag the thumb on the scroll bar?
Are you still able to scroll with the keyboard?
i'm scrolling with the right side of my touch pad (works in all other applications) yes, I can still drag the thumb on the scoll bar although it freezes at times yes, I can scroll with the keyboard up and down arrows - i hope that's what you meant since I hadn't done that before
thx
Is anyone still working on this for me?
Try to modify the ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled pref on the about:config page from the default value -1 to 0 or 1 to see if that makes the scroll pad work.
Close and restart Firefox after changing the ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled pref.
as indicated in my original note, that doesn't work, tried it several times but thanks.
