Firefox isn't loading websites while other browsers are working perfectly. It often shows "Server not found" error and doesn't load sites 9 out of 10 times. It loads sometimes but very slowly and many elements are not displayed properly.

Things I tried to fix this: 1. Disabled DNS Prefetching 2. Disabled IPv6 3. Cleared Recent History (Everything) 4. Reset Firefox 5. Created a new profile

Any pointers?

hello, maybe your security software is blocking the new version of the browser. try to clear all rules for firefox.exe & plugin-container.exe and let the firewall detect the new version of the program again. Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox

I pretty sure that my Antivirus is not blocking the browser. I also tried Waterfox and Cyberfox, both have the same problem.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

This problem has cropped up again in Firefox 24 for me. I am utterly confused. I have tried all things mention here: [Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can]

Does it have any effect if you boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support in case your security software is causing this problem?
