I have downloaded add-ons but can't find them
I have downloaded various add-ons and can't find them. What should you do after installing and restarting FireFox to find an add-on if it doesn't appear in the add-on toolbar?
I'm looking for Font Finder 1.0 - installed months ago Font information 0.3.1 - installed just now!
thanks Natalie

Make sure, your not in safemode.
Type about:addons in your URL, it ll display the list of installed Addons in Extensions.
Hi Thanks for the quick reply.
I can find the list of what I've got. I can't find their icons etc and how to actually use them.
Pixlr grabber is the only one that is consistently listed and shows it's icon (really easy to spot it then) under Tools.
I've since found User Agent switcher - it shows as a different name when you are actually trying to use it - Tools/Default User Agent
Can I add them all to Tools or all to my add-ons toolbar? including Font Finder 1.0 and Font information 0.3.1
thanks
Go back and re-install them. Make sure that the add-ons are installed by reading the message that comes up after an install. If you are still having problems, two things to try. First, go to Mozilla.org and get the full install. The last resort is to Reset Firefox
after install the full version and reset firefox, I cannot find the add-on icon on the tool bar still
Hi Aaronbbs:
This thread hasn't received a response in over a month. Please don't post your problem (even if it is the exact problem you're having) into other people's old threads. Instead create a new thread at /questions/new so we can get a good grasp of your system configuration.
Thanks.

Hi Natswalton, not all extensions have an icon. Some integrate with the right-click context menu or into another dialog.
If you think there should be an icon, check for it in the Customize dialog. This article has tips on how you then could move it to a toolbar: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
Regarding customizing menus, there are extensions to help with that, but I find them complicated to use so they are hard to recommend.
