Firefox icon use to be to the left of file and had a drop down box.....now it is above file without the dropdown. I want it back to the left! How do I do that? I am running windows 8.

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

Aren't you confusing the Firefox menu button and the Firefox icon on the Windows title bar?

You get the orange Firefox menu button when the Menu bar is hidden.

  • 3-bar Firefox menu button > Options/Preferences
  • View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the hidden Menu bar)
  • Right-click empty toolbar area

Firefox 28 still has the orange Firefox menu button.
In Firefox 29 this button has been replaced by the 3-bar Firefox menu button on the right end of the Navigation Toolbar.
