I'm using latest TB at Ubuntu.

I've created some filters at gmail that applies a label to some kind of messages and archive them (ignore inbox).

At TB I can see those labels as folders (that is great, btw). But the problem I'm facing is that sometimes those folders are not being synchronized automatically properly, even when I press "Get Mail". I can see emails at gmail web page but not at TB.

To sync them I have to explicitly select the folder at TB.

I double check the advanced synch config at account settings and I'm sure that I've selected all folders.

am I missing something ?

Chosen solution

TRy the following Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Advaned->Use Idle Command=false (untick it) Max Server Connections To Cache = 1 (default is 5)

Tools->Options->Advanced-> General tab click on 'Config Editor' button

mail.server.default.check_all_folders_for_new Value =true mail.imap.use_status_for_biff Value =false

Double click on line to toggle true to false and vice versa.

first you need to subscribe to see the folder you created. This you say is done.

  • 'Tools' > 'Account Settings' > 'Synchronization & Storage' for the gmail mail account

The checkbox 'Keep messages for this account on this computer' should be checked if you want to synchronize messages between your local system and your mail server.

If this option is un-checked, you can specify individual folders for synchronization. see info at this link, so you can check that the correct options have been selected.

Hi, thanks for reply. I already read the link you pointed me before and as I said, I already have this set on my environment.

Btw, I could note that this issue never occurs when I open TB for the first time, but frequently happen when waking from a hibernation or long period opened.

@Toad-Hall, seems that I'm getting a better experience with TB now. Thanks
