firefox will not let me uninstall and helper will not open either

I cannot uninstall firefox through either add/remove programs or the firefox uninstall helper. Neither will open/operate. I get an hourglass for a split second like when a program will not work. Is there a way to get rid of firefox. I intend later to install, but I don't want to know how to do that now. I just want to get rid of it. I am signed on as administrator so that isn't the problem either.

  1. Restart Windows.
  2. Delete the Firefox installation folder. The default location is either of the following, depending on whether you have 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.
    • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\
  3. If you also want to remove all your Firefox personal data like bookmarks and passwords, first open Windows Explorer. Then paste the following into the address bar and press Enter. Delete those folders.
    • %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
    • %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\
