Sorry to hear that.

If you haven't already, could you try downloading the "full" installer from this page (scroll down to your preferred language):

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

That is much larger than the "stub" installer but doesn't need to connect back to Mozilla for additional files, so sometimes works better.
