I had firefox in 64-bit Scientific Linux 6.0. When I tried to run firefox, I got the throbber for several seconds then it vanished. I upgraded to Scientific Linux 6.6, but firefox still fails to start. If I typed firefox -safe-mode in console, it says Segmentation Fault. So I removed firefox and reinstalled it using yum, but no improvement. At least firefox -v works to tell me it is version 31.2.0

I downloaded ESR 24.8.1 and that works just dandy. So troubleshooter info will show version 24 not 31.
