New computer, just downloaded firefox last night. Google calendar isn't opening. Google is only offering info on how to fix it in google Chrome. Any help?

Found firefox instructions and followed them carefully. Gone through clearing cache and cookies, hasn't helped. Tried repeatedly, still didn't help. I got my husband to take a look and he didn't have any luck. Do I have to give up on Firefox and go to Chrome if I want google calendar?
