The anoying BOX comes up when opening Firefox. Says ASK is doing it. Can't find ASK on PC anywhere to remove it.

Lately when Firefox is opened, an annoying box always pops up with: Firefox Homepage Change Notifications. It will not go away. I have reset my homepage in the Options... and the proper home page does come up now....but the box is still always appearing. It also has in the bottom corner: Distributed by Mindspark Interactive Network. But I can't find that anywhere on my laptop. I cleared all history. Please help. Thanks.

Did you check for extensions and plugins from Mindspark?

Note that plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode

You can check in "Windows Control Panel > Programs" for recently installed programs to see if any suspicious software shows up.

  • Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall or change a program
  • Click the Installed column to sort by this heading
