FireFox has a virus, I've tried many things, nothing seems to work?
Laptop; Windows 7
A while ago, Ads by Capricornus began to show up in many of the sites I go on. I disabled and removed all the add-ons and extensions I didn't download or recognize. Didn't work. I refreshed FireFox about 3 times. Didn't work. I uninstalled FireFox, cleaned up my program files by control panel and through file explorer, reinstalled FireFox. No dice, it was still infected. Even when I don't have the browser open, my laptop will glitch when I'm using Word or Paint or some other program. I restarted my laptop on safety mode and did similar things from the last try. I saw that my firewall or security whatever it was couldn't be set back to its defaults. Not sure why.
Also, many sites I used to use before, I'm not able to access as much because of some security warning that literally just states exactly this: 'ILLEGAL_&_DANGEROUS_CONTENT_BLOCKED'. That's the whole page. Not sure what's going on there either.
I guess that's all I have to offer in info of what I've done to try and fix it.
Any suggestions?

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
