I sent an email from a subfolder: why doesn't it show up in my "sent" folder? Did it get sent or not?
I was reading emails in a particular sub-folder. I don't normally reply to emails from their sub-folders but this time, by mistake, I did. I cannot find confirmation that the email was sent. It does not appear in my "Sent" folder. I did not receive a message that it was sent. Was it sent or not? Is there a way to have it show in the "Sent" folder next time I reply to an email from my sent folder?
There was a send button. I would expect that if it wasn't possible to compose emails from ones sub-folders the option would not exist.
Thank you.

Have you checked all of your Sent folders? There is a possibility it wasn't sent "from" the account you expected it to use.

You can reply and start composing a new message from any folder you have currently selected.
I did not receive a message that it was sent.
You do only get a notification when an email has been rejected by your email providers server or if the recipients server was unable to deliver it to the recipient.
It does not appear in my "Sent" folder.
Does this happen with every message you send from that account? What is your account type - POP or IMAP?
All other emails that have been sent can be seen in my "sent" folder for all my email address. I checked all other email boxes, I have 3, and I cannot find the email that was composed and sent from a sub-folder.
I now know that the email in question was sent, even though it is not in my "sent" folder, as the recipient responded to it today.
