Why does firefox refuse to recognize saved profile?

I selected my profile from Old Firefox Data folder, copied it into the currently active profile folder being used by Firefox. When I tried to launch another profile, the addon refused to show that profile.

Was Firefox closed when you copied those files into that "active" Profile folder?

Make sure to copy the profiles.ini file as well because that is the file that sets what profile folder is used.

If you do not have a copy of profiles.ini then you need to edit the current profiles.ini file or use the "Choose Folder" button in the Profile Manager to register this profile.
