Since 3 swedish versions back does the delete email buttons not work, but I can move emails to folders including the trash!
The "delete this email" option in the drop down right click menu, don't work either...
So I can only drag new messages to the trash folder (or any other folder) since about a year back!!
Thought it would be fixed in one of your upgrades, but it wasn't in the upgrade today - so Im beginning to be desperate...
Have windows 10 but this started with win 8 and I did also reinstall Thunderbird about three months ago, in hope it would fix this problem...

Thank you a lot, even if it didn't fix my problem - first...
- But suddenly did the delete button work again (and delete on the keyboard) three days after I changed to the English version or maybe even sooner - even if it absolutley NOT did work directly after the update... So following text is what first happen and now 2016-09-05 am I very happy again, easy deleting any spam, that strangely are moved to a new "waste basket" folder, also named "deleted" just as he old one *hehe*
(what I wrote directly after the change, before it begin to work)
But now can I be 100% sure the language version NOT is the cause...
Okay, I did finally visit mozilla and change to the English version... Even if I did expect that the English version will work just as bad - when 5 updates of thunderbird didn't change anything for me... And it did NOT fix the problem - so I must still drag every spam message and everything else I want to delete to the bin folder OR right click the next time and use the "move to same foler as last time" option...
And it is very STRANGE that nobody else have this problem!!
Everything ELSE work lovely, by the way!

If you select a message in the list and press the 'delete' key, what happens?

The selection in the list of emails, just blinks the first time I press one of the delete, but nothing else happen... As I wrote... With none of the two keys or the right click menu...
And it is not "just to drag" to the trash folder, because that one have to light up and that delay is actually painful, when you get 20 to 80 spam mails every day...
Okay, I use to get very strange tiny problems (nobody even heard about) with "quality stuff" nobody use to have any problems with , but this grow very annoying!
And now in june, 2 updates later, is it still impossible to simply delete new email with any of the two delete buttons!

tried keyboard-del button? (Mina knappar funkar). Win 7 TB 45.1.1
I can only highlight the email and drag it to other folders, including the trash... Nothing happen to the email when I click thunderbirds "ta bort" (in english "delete" or "remove"?) buttons or my notebooks delete, or backspace, or the right click menu "ta bort meddelande" (in english "delete this message")
I did supect it may be something wrong with the Swedish language version, but I can't find where I can change to English (as I use to configure most of my programs) and try...
There is another strange thing, the right click menu show "Move to the trash again" as an option for any new message and I don't understand the "again" part... But that (rather slow) option does work, just as drag and drop to the trash...
The normal "remove this email" buttons DID work the first year or so...
I had win 8 and 8.1 and have now 10

I just installed swedish version and tested. all worked as it should,
If you want to try english version just go and download it. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/all/ let it overwrite the thunderbird program-lib. Your Thunderbird-user-data will stay unchanged. But for your own safety, make a backup of it first.
