This seems like a specific incidence of this general error so rather than my going through all the many and lengthy "cures" in the literature I am hoping it will be obvious to someone why it is happening.

I am running Firefox on Windows 10, all up to date.

The error only happens with one specific website.

The first time in a Firefox session that I retrieve a page from the website it displays fine.

If I then open a new tab, and retrieve any of the website's pages, I get the connection reset error.

If I try re-display on the current tab, the error happens too.

Have checked all the common possibilities, clear cache, clear cookies, safe mode.

How come it is ok on the first instance, but not subsequent ones?

Does not happen in Microsoft Edge.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
