no Browsers will open on old XP need bookmarks for business from FireFox
no Browsers will open on old XP. Tried Firefox, google chrome, IE, & Safari, ALL respond with App Error message - "The application failed to initialize properly (xc0000022). So CANNOT get on line. Also getting "Run time error" message when trying to "Search" or "Explore".Yet all is fine on another PC with XP. I can backdoor into the files but cannot find my Mozilla bookmarks. Need to find & retrieve my bookmarks for business from FireFox. HELP?

Your Firefox data is stored in a profile folder that contains bookmarks, saved logins, history, etc.
To locate the folder, it's helpful to first set Windows to show hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files (or for XP: https://www.microsoft.com/resources/d.../win_fcab_show_file_extensions.mspx)
Then find your profile folder(s) along this path:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\semi-random-folder-name
(It probably is not the C drive if you attached the old hard drive to a different PC.)
The folder bookmarkbackups has compressed backups you can restore to your new Firefox using the steps in this article -- this completely replaces whatever you have there now with the older set:
Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer
If you do not want to lose your current bookmarks, you can export them first, then do the restore, then import them back again, and then finally reintegrate the folders. It's convoluted. These articles have the export/import info:
- Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks
- (Restore at this point)
- Import Bookmarks from an HTML file
Does that help?

Modified
Or maybe, use a new profile on your Windows 7 PC to extract the bookmarks. Here's what I mean
Create a new Firefox profile
In Firefox on Windows 7, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load that page.
Click the "Create New Profile" button and assign a name like July2016. Ignore the button for changing the folder location and click Finish.
Next, scroll down and below the Profile: July2016 box, click the "Set as default profile" button.
Then scroll back to the top of the page and click the "Restart normally" button. This should exit Firefox and start Firefox up in that new profile.
Extract Bookmark Backup and Export It
Restore the bookmark backup to this profile, and then create an HTML export file:
- Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer
- Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks - make sure this is in a convenient location
Switch Back to Your Regular Profile and Import the Work Bookmarks
Type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load that page.
Find your regular profile and click the "Set as default profile" button. Then scroll back to the top of the page and click the "Restart normally" button. This should exit Firefox and start Firefox up in your normal profile.
Now you can import the bookmarks, and they should be added in an Imported Bookmarks folder on the Bookmarks Menu (or possibly in Unsorted Bookmarks).
Import Bookmarks from an HTML file
You can rename the folder to Work Bookmarks (for example) so they're easy to spot going forward.
Success?
I did find the folder. However clicking on it brought up the same error message and shut me down, but I was able to bring it up again and save the file to my USB. Will try importing to other PC tomorrow. THANK YOU so very much!!
This was PERFECT!! THANK YOU & GOD BLESS!!
