Ive backed up my email using mozzila, but it wasnt upto date with all my emails. Is it possible to re-download thunderbird, will all my emails?
I have mozilla backup for my emails. I reset my computer to factory settings and when i downloaded thunderbird and synced my email account for thunderbird to retrieve all my emails and got them all back no problem. This was great, but i ended up getting like 3500 emails in my inbox. But not having all my specific folders was not.. So i backed up my email account with mozilla, unfortunately my mozzila back up wasnt current and up to date (so i was missing a year of emails). Q: is there a way to get back all my emails again? I tried to re-download thunderbird again but it just resorts back to all my old emails Thank you!

What exactly does this do? If it wipes the disc, all previous content is gone, and there wouldn't be anything left to restore.
Did you create a full backup of your Thunderbird profile prior to resetting your computer? If not, why?

I did do a moz-backup with my email profile but it wasn't up to date with all my emails. I had a USB that I had used to backed up my computer including my moz-backup but it wasn't backed up to date. I'm missing a big portion of 2017 emails =(
I'm seeing if its possible if I can go back to retrieve the emails I had before I restored my emails using moz-backup.. Thanks for all the help so far
Q: Do you see a 'windows.old' folder on your desktop ? C:\Windows.old\Users\MyUserName\Appdata\Thunderbird
IF YES: If you have not downloaded anything new then you could copy paste the Appdata\Thunderbird folder and overwrite it's new contents with all the old profile data. Thunderbird must be closed whilst doing this.
If you have already downloaded new mail into new account, then perhaps you may want to use importexporttools addon to import the mbox files from : C:\Windows.old\Users\MyUserName\Appdata\Thunderbird\Profiles\profile name\Mail\'pop mail account' folder into 'Local Folders' mail account. ImportexportTools addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/
If you cannot see appdata folders and files then make hidden files and folders visible: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
