WTF, guys? I love your s/w so much, but you auto-updated Thunderbird and disabled Lightning?!? There is apparently no way to get back my current appointments and all that shit. I have backdated Thunderbird, and I installed a backup of Lightning, from *6 months ago* so all my appointments made in the last 6 months of my work and appointments are toast. Really? You just went from gold star to shit list! How can I depend on you when you erase my fucking data? I hope you never do this again, but meanwhile, I'll never trust you not to do so. I didn't realize that my usual backup schedule didn't seem to back up the calendar appointments, and I don't synch them to my phone for a webdav server for privacy and security. And now, not to Lightning, either.

You MUST check if someone is using Lightning, then don't update Thunderbird if it's going to disable lightning, and ERASE the appointments that someone has made!!! How stupid is that?!? OR ... auto-backup the lightning calendar and appointment file FIRST, before you screw something up. How amateurish!

But I can tell you how I really feel ...? <sigh>

Remove and reinstall the Lightning calendar. And mind your language.
