Windows 10. After Firefox auto update to ver. 57 response is slow. 10 second delay after typing, clicking, scrolling etc. Worked fine until update. Disabled extensions, refreshed, new installation did not fix. No problem on Chrome, Bing, IE.

I have the same problem in V57 .... for a few days, since update. I also installed in this period Norton 360.

I moved up to V58 Beta ... seems to reduce the problem, but not enough as to it being solved. Firefox is still unusable :((

ALso observed that it totally (v58) freezes when writing gmail emails ... when gmail is "saving" automatically the draft.

My next step is to look for a V56 ... or V55 ... and see if I can work with it for the time being, disabling updates :(((((

SOLVED !!!! Thanks to Philip! https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1187918

Copied text here: hi, thanks for reporting this. could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there. if yes, can you please copy & paste this whole section into a reply in the forum and see if the following fixes the performance problem: go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.

Hi, thanks for the link. For now, i am going SUPER BRAVE and will stick to the V58, now the BETA.

This is after applying the fix above i found in the other thread. It works wonders ... i don't understand why is that enabled by default, seeing so many people complain.
