Hello. I have this scenario: i need to send a email to a client and after x days another followup email.

What i do now. I compose the first email. Send it. I Compose the 2nd email and scheduled it manually to be send after 2 days with SendLater addon. I`d like to find a way to automate this process.

For example, when i sent the first email, the 2nd email should be created and scheduled automatically for sending at a later date.

step 1: i open Email 1 template and compose new email step 2: i send the email step 3: when email 1 is send, email 2 should be automatically created as draft and scheduled to be sent after x days step 4: email 2 is automatically send as scheduled

Is it possible to achieve this with Thunderbird?

Thank you

re : i need to send a email to a client and after x days another followup email. Basically, you appear to want thunderbird to auto generate and send emails without you doing anything based on the sending of a previous email.

Simply not possible.

Emails need to be specified when to send. You already use the addon required for scheduling this.

A draft is only created if an email is in composing mode - the 'Write' window is open and selected to be saved manually or after a set time period. Drafts are not based on what is already sent.

Emails need to be composed and if wanting to be reused then store them as a Template. However, the email address still needs to be inserted. You can use an address book with an addon such as 'Mail Merge' which uses a template. This can be setup to 'Send Later', which will store the emails in the 'Outbox', but you would still need to schedule the time using the addon extension 'SendLater'.

So, whilst you still have to do all of this manually, you can do it as several in one go.
