Hey, Nope, it doesn't have an answer to my question. Another thing I just remembered and would like to point out is that when I'm about to enter the confirmation code, on that page it shows a different email address (my old one, I've changed my Firefox account primary email address), not the one I'm logging in with.

It seems like I have no primary email address attached to my Firefox account, even though I'm logging in with one. Weird

This 'dude' will forward this thread to an Administrator - but please bear in mind that it's weekend and that we're dealing with different time zones.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful .......

Hey, I thought it was quite funny, being called 'dude'  !  :)

I just sent an email to an Administrator.

By the way : it was not one of my brightest moments to overlook the fact that you can't sign in  !

If you don't have a problem anymore, then just mark your penultimate post as the one that solved your problem  !

Hi there, I am really sorry for the late reply, there was an American Holiday on Monday. I think you did the right think here, resetting and starting with a new email is usually the easiest solution.

If you would like to continue to troubleshoot the previous email address that was used for the sync account, I would advise moving forward and just adding the devices/profiles that were attached to the previous sync account, all of the information is locally stored on your profile, there is no 'back up'.

I think next you can add a secondary email address - after deleting the previous one (if it gives you an error) https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-primary-email-address-firefox-accounts

Let me get back to you about the 2FA so you don't run into the issue again with the new account.

Hi,

If you do not mind providing more info on where you can reproduce this I have opened an issue in the Firefox Account Git repository (where they track issues with the product)

Can you add the specs of your set up (how you enabled UFA, the version of Firefox and the steps you took to login (what site or part of the product did you sign in from)) I think the will be able to work with you.

the thing is I didn't start with a new email, I reset password for the same email I had problems with

Bummer  ! Would you please remove the Chosen Solution mark  ? You can do so by clicking on the 'Undo' button to the right of that post. I'm sure that guigs will come to your rescue - but (again) bear in mind that you're dealing with different time zones.

ok, sorry that was probably a false flag, because now it just says "wrong password". hm. why did it say "unexpected error" at first? anyway, the password I was entering was probably wrong, so the solution still stands
