Why am I am unable to open Firefox?
I have tried re-booting my computer (several times) but Firefox will not open. When I click on the logo, the circle goes around a few times and then quits. This problem began yesterday (1/17/2018). Yesterday morning it appeared that some file (possibly Firefox?) performed an automatic update. Because I am unable to open the browser, I am unable to tell what version of Firefox is installed or to provide the information requested below. Recently I spent several hours cleaning up my Bookmarks, so I do NOT want to lose the "clean and well-organized" file by just deleting and re-installing Firefox before the clean Bookmarks file is made available to re-install. I had been a Firefox user from 2014 until September 2017 but had to move to another browser because Firefox was misbehaving. I recently installed Firefox on a new computer and was able to use it until yesterday.

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
