Bookmarks gone after installed older version I don't like new version

Ok, I was updated to the latest version of firefox AGAINST my wishes. I had disabled the automatic updates in my options. So, I downgraded to an older version, and now all my bookmarks have vanished and my Ant Video downloader was still present. I went to the troubleshooting page and refreashed firefox, it restored the bookmarks but disabled all add ons. When I went to add a compatible Ant Video downloader for Firefox 53.0, it updated the whole thing to the latest version of firefox, which I DON"T want! Can you help as I tried all the available options

Hi. I noticed with the update that the bookmark list disappeared. I resolved this by

  • clicking on the stack of books at the top right (in the new version)
  • clicking on Bookmarks
  • clicking on Bookmarking Tools
  • Then clicking Add Bookmarks Tool to Menu

After that the Bookmarks tool appeared and I could see all of my bookmarks as before. I hope that helps.
