E-mail composition is interrupted
When I am composing an e-mail, I begin typing and suddenly the cursor(?) jumps (usually back) and if I continue to type, the new typing is located somewhere in the middle of what I just typed. On occasion the whole e-mail is highlighted. Then it is in-highlighted. Then it is highlighted again. and so on. I have to watch every keystroke because it does not follow a normal path forward. I hope this explains the problem. It seems like the page is reloading randomly and often and every time it cycles the cursor jumps to a different location. I have to click on the last word that I typed to get back to where I was. It is happening now as I type this posting. It is frustrating for sure bordering on intolerable. I hope someone with know how gets this problem because it is hard to explain. Thank you for looking in.

But when you typed this posting to this forum, you were doing it in your browser, and not in Thunderbird, surely? So your problem is not limited to just Thunderbird?
Which browser do you use? I'm wondering if it's Firefox and maybe there is an issue due to similar components used in both e.g. Gecko. But no, I see Chrome, Safari and Edge listed. Which one was it? Or are all affected?
Are you using a laptop and maybe brushing the touchpad as you type?
Hi Zenos, sorry for the late reply. You are right, it is not just Thunderbird. I am using Internet Explorer and sometimes I am tricked into using Chrome. It happens most often when I am typing e-mails in Thunderbird but it does happen elsewhere. It is happening now. The cursor jumps around and I have to re-click to my last entry before I can continue. Also, sometimes text gets highlighted, and sometimes "read aloud" pops up for no apparent reason. It must be something else. I will continue to explore. Thanks for trying to help. I will post when I know what is causing it. Much appreciated.
