Would it be possible to have more than one set of Homepages?

I have all my computers synced and I need different homepages for each. The work computer for example has its own set, and then I use a second set on private page browsing for social media pages and personal email. Having all these synced, somethings after a crash the work homepages load. Would it be possible in a future version to have multiple homepage sets?

Hi,

Yes, that is possible, providing that you don't sync Preferences.

Also, you should do this :

Type in the address bar about:config (press Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked)

Type in the search bar services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.startup

and look for the preferences :

services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.startup.page and services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.startup.homepage

and set both values to false

Then close and restart Firefox.

Or, if you want to keep sync active; Turn off Preferences on the sync control page.

All you really need to sync are bookmarks and passwords.

My suggestion does keep Sync active - only disables it for the home page(s).

In the first sentence of my post I adviced not to sync 'Options/Preferences', which should have been 'Preferences' - I will edit that post and remove 'Options'.

I did not know that.

I did not know that.

Neither did I before today .......

When you're on the about:config page, and you type in the address bar :

services.sync.prefs.sync - you'll see a huge list of prefs.
