Incoming email won't show my chosen displayname

I have one user who emails me with an address that is a bunch of letters for the username instead of something I can remember easily. I have set up the address book to record her email address and her name and put in a displayname as well. BUT - when she sends me email all my inbox show is the gibberish email address . Of course she never remembers to sign her email so I'm forced to respond with a question "Who's this?" every time.

In Tools/Options/Display/Advanced, do you have 'Show only display name...' checked?
