Firefox is periodically slow opening pages; fixed after rebooting Windows
I have my computer on most of the day and will have Firefox running in the background while I go back and forth to it while working. When I break, I will shut Firefox down but leave Windows 10 running. When I come back and reopen Firefox, it will sometime take several minutes to reopen the homepage or any url entered manually. The thing is, it doesn't happen every time, but enough to become annoying. I find if I reboot Windows, it works fine again. While Firefox is running slow, other browsers run normally. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Anyone??
I've had the same problem three times since posting this...
Five times now...
I try to see where it gets hung and it may be something with Google analytics? Is that a clue for anyone?
I'm on Win7. This sort of thing happens to me occasionally, too. I just give up and reboot Windows because Windows is fudge.
Sorry about the gloom but it's really more practical to do the boot than to try to pinpoint it.
I am trying to see if I can figure out if it is hanging on a specific process. It seemed to be stuck on Google analytics. My homepage is a Symbaloo page and I think they use that. But even once open, it still seems to be loading and other pages won't load, even if I enter the url directly and not use the Symbaloo tile. Maybe it's a problem with them?
Jeff Grossman: Do you know if there is a specific process running when you have the issue? What's your homepage set for?
Thanks.
Hi NJCurmudgeon,
My home page is blank.
There is always the possibility that you are being throttled by your A/V.
I have never been able to figure out what causes it. Other local programs are usually also slow so I think it's somewhere in Windows' innards.
