If I use Firefox to store credit card data for use in Autofill, where is the information actually stored? On my computer? If my computer (or the hard drive on it) crashes, and I cannot recover from the crash, will I have to see that the hard drive is destroyed to keep Credit Card information secure?

You could set a Primary Password. There is a chance that it is encrypted locally.
