Tabs Jumping Around and Not opening proper location

Within the last few days my firefox app on my iphone has stopped functioning correctly. When I open a new tab, instead of opening it right next to the previous tab, it opens them at the bottom. It gets weirder because moving tabs around causes those previous tabs to potentially appear where they should but other tabs are also moving around weirdly as well. I've had tabs at the bottom appear at the top, tabs in the middle move to the bottom, and a general weirdness to where tabs are and where they're getting moved to when I move other tabs.

I've also been able to initiate multiple crashes when I move a tab that's been moved to the top while I was moving another tab that was supposed to be at the top back up there, to the bottom where the tab originally was at the very bottom. If I had to describe it, it's like the app is having problems knowing where tabs are supposed to be or which tab is where.

Both the app and the iphone 6 are to the latest updates of both the OS and the firefox app (I'd argue the problems probably started around the time the firefox app updated but it autoupdates so I can't be certain).

How do you move the tabs? But then it's pointless if they don't stay. Hopefully they'll update. I have the same open tabs jumping around on my iPhone xs max.
