Other bookmarks & Bookmark menu folders won't go away!
I can't get the "Other" bookmarks folder to go away.
I tried right-clicking on the folder & the context menu didn't show up. I tried about:config & changed the value to false. That didn't work.
I closed the browser after changing the boolean value to false & then restarted the browser. That didn't help.
I don't want to mess things up. I can't change the name of the folder. I was hoping that renaming the folder & then deleting it would solve the problem.
How do I hide the "Other" folder & the "Bookmarks Menu" folder?
I have a Mac if that helps any.

Most of us just move such unwanted entries to the bottom of the bookmarks listing.
Where do you have this problem with the other bookmarks folder ?
Can you attach a screenshot?

If this is about the "Other Bookmarks" button on the Bookmarks Toolbar then right-click this button and remove the check mark on "Show Other Bookmarks".
I have a Mac laptop & a Mac desktop.
The Firefox browsers on both computers are the latest versions.
I found out online how to make a change to about:config. The "other" bookmarks entry is set to True as Default. I followed the directions online how to change the setting from True to False. I just checked the setting on my laptop moments ago & the setting is set to False.
Yet the "Other" folder is still visible!
I did the same procedure to my desktop & the "Other" folder is still visible on the Firefox browser on my desktop.
I don't understand! I don't understand why making a change to the config file has no result on both my laptop & my desktop!
I have 25 bookmarks folders labeled from "A" to "Z". No "Q". I suppose that I can copy the "A" to "Z" bookmarks folders from Firefox to Safari, correct?
You can't remove the Other Bookmarks folder, but you can move bookmarks you currently have saved to the Other Bookmarks folder to another folder, either the Bookmarks Menu folder or the Bookmarks Toolbar folder.
