T-bird adding folders I cannot delete

T-bird has spontaneously added folders which partially copies a renamed folder but adds a number at the end. There are no emails included. I cannot delete this folder.

Example: (folder names slightly changed for security) Existing folder: Law Offices of John A. House (Fresno) (Laurie Elmer) T-bird renamed/added folder: Law Offices of John A. House (Fresno) (Laurie Elzab1c7d40d

This also occurred with another similarly named folder but I was able to delete the empty, numbered folder.

I have the same problem. I also find I CANNOT rename or delete these folders.
