Why are the tabs on mobile grid vertical suddenly?

Today the tabs randomly became vertical when i go to see all tabs, theyre smaller and more streched. Is this some sort of update and how do i get the old tab system back?

There's something wrong with recent builds for Grid View. Sometimes it tries to fit four items per row instead of two in portrait mode, making them very skinny. The row height is "normal". Rotating the device to landscape shows the tabs with the correct width and four of them.

Killing the app and restarting returns to normal two-per-row in portrait mode, but curiously also shows very roomy two per row in landscape mode.

Is there some items-per-row calculation glitch here?
