it keeps popping this message up "firefox is installing components needed to play audio or video on this page, please try again later" its been saying this since the new update and keeps telling me failed to check for update.

Check that *redirector.gvt1.com* is accessible and not being blocked (it should show a Google logo with a 404 error).

Try changing DNS over HTTPS (DoH) to "Off" or "Max Protection" and in Connection Settings change "Use system proxy settings" to "No proxy".

Disable any third-party security software, this may require rebooting into Windows Safe Mode (networking enabled).
