Why does Thunderbird not accept my password and repeatedly asked for it for all hotmail accounts? I enter the password (repeatedly) and sometimes with will accept if and mostly not. How can this be fixed.

Sorry - bad typing. Why does Thunderbird not accept my password and repeatedly asks for it for all hotmail accounts? I enter the password (repeatedly) and sometimes it will accept it but mostly not. How can this be permanently fixed?
