I successfully changed the authentication method for my SMTP server to OAuth.

But when I try to set my IMAP server to OAuth, I get this error message:

The IMAP server imap-mail.outlook.com does not support the selected authentication method. Image attached. Note: I couldn't capture the whole image, as Firefox insisted on displaying the error message at the bottom of the screen where I could only see half of it. But I confirmed OAuth was the issue by changing it back & forth several times.

I thought we had to change both SMTP & IMAP. Did I misunderstand something?

Chosen solution

the incoming server is to be outlook.office365.com and the outgoing must be smtp.office365.com

You are very welcome. I have been volunteering here for several years and I have noticed that users who are French are always polite and courteous. I admire that and wish it were more common here. Thank you. Your post brought a touch of sunshine into my day. :)
