Government Website - VA and SSA, non compatibility
Are you aware of the incompatibility of these two government websites that no longer are compatible with Firefox? The VA appointments of the HealtheVet site are no longer working and when I called for support they sent me to the chrome browser and says it is not compatible with Firefox. The same is now also true with the SSA website. This is a problem with Firefox or the government being forced to use chrome compatible sites only. YES, it needs to be fixed on one side or the other. Do I need to contact Congress?

Your screenshot does not show any browser issues, just a service not available at that time. I'm able to log into my account with no issues, but will need to go complete the verify process at my post office to access the appointment section. Do you have the same issue with Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-4troubleshoot-modesf5safe-modesf

You are not logged into the healtheVet website. You are logged into va.gov, there is a difference. Log into your ssa site from firefox and see that it will not work.
The image Included is the same each and everyday and is why I called the support team only to find out that he made me log in using chrome and said it is not compatible with Firefox.

Roger that. I'll try again tomorrow. The browser is supported. see screenshot Just showing service not available is not helpful. I'll update after getting verified.

What OS? What version of Firefox? Do you have the same issue with Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-4troubleshoot-modesf5safe-modesf

Linux Mint MATE is what I am using, which should make no difference, especially since it used to work just fine. The version is 134.0 of Firefox. None of this seem to be a factor since it all worked previously and the support people said it is that Firefox is no longer supported. My question is why? Is it a failure of Firefox development, or is this a decision at the government web sites and if that is the case, I need to push to stop an illegal act on the part of our government.

Gov. websites are Notorious for not being up with the Times nor respecting Users' privacy. For a Lonnng time they required Internet Explorer! (Uggghhh) Even as microsoft was deprecating that browser due to all the privacy and functional Issues. I was *literally Told that i need to re-install the garbage Internet Explorer if I want to access a certain government site. Now, they use Google since it's easier to socially engineer and capture peoples' PII with Chrome (will be much easier Still, with manifest 3) !!
I was flabbergasted when they said I need to use microsoft internet explorer. I thought they were Joking at first
So do I need an update with Firefox, or do I need to complain to the government, congress, and maybe other resources, about the lack of browser support? This is an illegal situation if this is a government decision.

I’m sure Firefox would fix it if they Could. However, they appear to be a bit slow to contend with Big Data like microsoft, for some reason that escapes me
I would direct it more to the government IT which are complacent and Lazy to design Pages for any Privacy-focused non-social engineering Browsers. You may not want to ask them why they’re incompetent just ask them if they’ll Look-into it for us. If *Enough* people do this we may get the needed social change
You may be able to Report the broken link to Mozilla, somewhere I will Defer to other users here as I am still pretty new here
Thank you for the communication and although this does not resolve the problem, I want to leave this open and share the information I get from the complaints I file and the results provided until resolved. Thank you for your help and communications.
This is not done nor over until the government developers stop their control and illegal process.
