Downloading issues from credit card sites
I have Windows 11 on my Desktop PC and an up to date version of Firefox.
On two separate occasions I attempted to download past statements from two different credit card websites. Both times the requested statement failed to download, or even proceed to the next screen.
I called Customer Service for one of the Credit Cards and was told to try Google Chrome. I was forced to use Google Chrome to successfully download and view the requested statements.
I have been able to download and view the same information from the same websites in the recent past.
Could something have been changed in the Settings or what?

Hello.
Just guessing here but I have had the same issue and it was related to downloading PDF documents and not actually Firefox. I do not have a solution for you other than to try a browser refresh to see if it is related to an add-on.
The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.
Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customization, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.
To Refresh Firefox:
- Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
- Click the menu button , click Help and select More troubleshooting information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
- If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
- At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox…". Click on it.
- Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
- Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.
