Facebook's Like button (on most websites) - loops a pop up box that opens/closes until page is reloaded - unable to "Like" since install of Firefox 3.6.11 in English

Since install of Firefox's 3.6.11, I can't seem to click on the ubiquitous "LIKE" buttons that will post to my facebook page. I get a pop-up box that presumably is where it would allow me to log in to Facebook, but the opens, it's blank and then it closes and repeats over and over until I reload the page. I don't always get a popup warning to allow popups but in most cases, these are news sites (CNN) or a few major blogs (Huffington Post, OhMyGov) and they are in my allow popups lists.

It seems that if you allow third party cookies (in Firefox settings) then the like button(s) work correctly.

I'm using Firefox 3.6.13, on OSX Snow Leopard.

How do you allow that?
