When I try to download Firefox the wizard starts but then an AVG Resident Shield Alert dialogue box comes up warning of a "Trojan Horse Generic20.ACJW" and giving me options to (1) Move to Vault (2) Go to file or (3) Ignore.

It indicates that all three are safe to use because Resident Shield will not allow access to files that are infected.

What version of AVG are you using? Also, where are you trying to download from?

You should download from here:

[http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html]

And insure that you have the latest version of AVG.
