I faced the same problem guys, and it's easy to be solved.
First, export the bookmarks from Google Chrome, you can do that by going to the Settings button on the right and then click on Bookmark Manager. In the bookmark manager, in the upper portion of the screen click on Organize and then select Export bookmarks, a file saving dialog should appear asking you to pick a location and a file name to save your bookmarks file.
The next step is importing the bookmarks in firefox, this can be done by clicking on the upper left button labeled Firefox and then right click on Bookmarks, this should open a dialog box, click on Import and Backup, click import HTML, select from HTML file and then double click on the file you saved earlier in chrome.
You are done now and can close the dialog box!
Bookmarks are only one part of the problem. Browsers remember a whole lot of other things, such as log-in details, data to go in forms, browsing history, and cookies. If you change to a different browser and can't move all that information across, you have to do all the typing again.
Firefox has an "import wizard" that will find all that stuff and move it across, but (apparently) only for Safari and Opera. So the real question is: why does the import wizard not know about Chrome?
Currently the only thing that stops me switching to Firefox is the pain of having to re-type all the stuff that Chrome has remembered.
How to import Passwords from Google Chrome to Firefox:
In Google Chrome side:
- Install LastPass extension on Google Chrome.
- You'll be prompted to create account, so create it.
In Firefox side:
- Install LastPass Add-on and use same log in information for LastPass account you have created in Google Chrome.
- Go to LastPass "Tools" choose "Export to" --> "Firefox".
Your passwords are in your Firefox.
