I have been using bangla on web, typing and reading, with firefox 3.6. i installed firefox4 and then all bangla fonts became distorted. i tried to uninstall and reinstall firefox 4 in my desktop (not taking any chances with my laptop, where i am also using firefox3.6) but couldn't solve the problem. how to solve this? BTW, i am using Avro Unicode software for bangla typing. thanks and regards.

Okay this'll sure be of help, i tried it.

  1. Download Solaimanlipi font and install it. (to install in a Windows OS, click Start>control panel>Fonts, copy and paste your downloaded Solaimanlipi in Fonts).
  2. Open Firefox 4. Click Tools>options>content>advanced. Hit the 'Advanced' button. For the drop down list of 'Fonts for', choose Bengali. Replace all the other options below with Solaimanlipi.
